On Friday, 24th October 2025, the Ghana Police Service, Sampa District Police Command, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Andrews George Kumah Assistant Regional Commander of Police, paid an official visit to Kasipe Memorial International School, Sampa. The visit formed part of the Police Service’s community outreach initiative aimed at restoring peace and stability in the area following the recent chieftaincy-related riots in Sampa.

In his address to the students, staff, and some community members present, ACP Mr. Kumah emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and mutual coexistence among residents. He cautioned against the use of arms and the spreading of false alarms, which have contributed to the heightened sense of fear and insecurity in the community. He further noted that the continuous sound of gunshots and incidents of riots have disrupted social and economic activities, urging all citizens to desist from actions that could lead to further violence.

ACP Kumah reiterated that the Ghana Police Service remains fully committed to maintaining law and order, protecting lives and property, and ensuring that justice prevails. He assured the gathering that as long as the Police remain present and vigilant in the area, citizens will be protected, and lasting peace will be restored in Sampa.

He also encouraged the youth, traditional authorities, and opinion leaders to collaborate with the Police in addressing misunderstandings through peaceful dialogue rather than confrontation. According to him, sustainable peace can only be achieved through unity, respect for the rule of law, and community cooperation.

The management of Kasipe Memorial International School expressed appreciation to the Police Command for the visit and the insightful message on peace and security. The program concluded with a collective pledge from students and staff to act as ambassadors of peace within their community.
